Among the local celebrations, the most notable is the Festivity of the Cross, in May. One of the most cherished cultural manifestations among the dwellers, where fireworks are a great tradition. The Procession of the Virgin of Carmen, on the last Sunday in July, where the sailors of Puerto de La Cruz enjoy the privilege, since 1750, of carrying the Virgin of Carmen of Los Realejos on their shoulders.

On the last Sunday in May, thousands of citizens meet at the pilgrimage of San Isidro and Santa María de la Cabeza, declared of national tourist interest.
